  • Do I need a referral from my regular veterinarian to see one of your specialists?

    Yes, we would need a referral prior to your appointment from your regular veterinarian.

  • Will my regular veterinarian receive updates about my pet?

    Yes, we always keep your veterinarian updated on your pet.

  • Can my pet receive annual vaccinations/exams at your facility?

    No, we only provide specialty services.

  • If my pet needs to stay at your hospital, may I leave personal belongings with them?

    You may leave personal belongings with your pet but we cannot guarantee that they will be returned due to the volume of patients that we see and our sanitation protocols.

  • Are you open for emergencies?

    No, we only offer specialty services.

  • Are you available for 24 hour care?

    Hospitalized patients are provided with a technician overnight unless otherwise stated.

  • If my pet needs an ultrasound, will they need to be sedated?

    Ultrasounds can usually be performed without sedation.

  • Do you have a Board Certified Oncologist?

    We do not have a Board Certified Oncologist, but our Internist, Dr. Bay, has many years of experience in Oncology.

  • Where can I find more information about Thyro-Cat?

    Feline Hyperthyroidism is a disorder that occurs when the feline thyroid gland produces an excess of thyroid hormone.

First Visit Information

  • How long will my appointment take?

    Consultation times vary depending on the needs of the patient, but it is not unusual for a consultation to be an hour or longer.

  • How much will my appointment cost?

    Please call the office at 518-480-4230 for consultation pricing.

  • What should I bring to my appointment?

    Please bring your pet along with any medical records, x-rays, medications, etc. that you may have for your pet.

Payment Information

  • When is payment due?

    Payment is due at time of services/discharge of your pet.

  • What types of payment do you accept?

    We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express), Personal Checks ($40 fee for bounced checks), Cash and Care Credit.

  • Do you offer payment plans?

    We do not offer payment plans, however we do accept Care Credit.

  • Do you accept Pet Insurance?

    We do not directly accept pet insurance as payment, but our staff is more than happy to provide the proper documentation and assistance to process your claim for reimbursement.
